A relevant and interesting exhibition...

Just seen this in IpDip, if London wasnt so far would like to see it...

JUNK PLAY-From Junk to
Adventure Play,
Stephen Lawrence Gallery,

This exhibition will explore
historical and contemporary representations of a
movement for children’s play space. This started
life in the late 1940s as Junk play and has become
better known as Adventure play.
The show will include videos and photos from
the personal archives of playworkers and play
researchers. The story told by contemporary
images and constructions will capture the practical
ways children use these spaces to understand and
deal with the city as an “imposed environment”.

L’idea di trasformare materiali di scarto in spazi di gioco mi sembra davvero interessante, soprattutto perché mette al centro il modo creativo in cui i bambini usano l’ambiente. Mi piacerebbe vedere le foto e i video dell’esposizione, perché credo che rendano molto meglio l’atmosfera del progetto. È anche curioso vedere come un’idea nata come “Junk play” sia poi diventata quella che oggi conosciamo come Adventure play. Se fossi stato a Londra in quel periodo, probabilmente avrei fatto un salto anch’io.  cazeus casino
