Topic-icon Finding a rental car in Moscow

Hey everyone, I'm travelling to Moscow for a couple of weeks on business and thinking about renting a car. I've heard traffic is pretty intense, but I need the flexibility to get around. Never rented a car in Russia before. What's the process like for foreigners? Do local rental companies accept international driver's permits, or do I need a Russian license? Any help appreciated.

Renting in Moscow is straightforward at the airport or downtown. Big international brands are present, but local companies often have better prices. You can find available rental cars in Moscow, and since it's Russia, the requirements are similar to other European countries. Check comparison sites like this one, for example getrentacar.com/en-US/russia/moscow

Avoid renting at the airport if you want to save money. It's often cheaper to take the Aeroexpress train into the city and pick up a car from a downtown location. Also, check if your credit card covers rental insurance in Russia.
