Topic-icon Booking a transfer in advance in Sardinia

Guys, please help me out with some advice—I’ve been racking my brain over this. My parents and I are planning a trip to Olbia, Sardinia, at the end of the summer; we want to show them the beaches and architecture there. My dad recently injured his knee, so he can’t walk very far, and his doctor has strictly forbidden him from riding public buses in the heat because the AC only works intermittently and the schedule is terrible.

Renting a car is also a hassle—I checked the gas prices, plus the parking lots there are packed to the brim; it’s just extra stress for an elderly person. I’d like to find a reliable service for island tours so I can book a comfortable car in advance and take my family to beautiful places without overpaying. Has anyone booked private transfers for long distances, like to the La Maddalena archipelago? Do the drivers actually show up on time?

Oh, private drivers near train stations or hotels aren’t a good option either because they usually don’t want to travel outside the city. Even if they agree, they’ll charge an exorbitant fare. Listen, last year, we used the GetTransfer service to take my grandmother to Olbia. We booked a regular taxi in Sardinia through their serivce, which saved us a lot of hassle. The great thing about it is that you can plan the route in advance and see the final price, which won’t change due to traffic or luggage. Our driver was very polite and helped us get into the car. What’s your approximate budget, and how many days will the trip last?
