Topic-icon How do you vet a PBN domain before buying — my checklist

3 weeks 6 days ago #5365 by Jacson
After getting burned twice on domains that looked great on the surface but turned out to be either penalised or full of casino redirects in their history, I finally put together a vetting process that I actually stick to. I check Trust Flow and Citation Flow via Majestic, then I go through the full referring domain list manually looking for obvious spam patterns. After that I run a quick Wayback Machine check to see what the site actually was in its previous life — niche relevance matters more than people admit. The last step is checking for any manual actions using a clean Search Console account that's never been connected to anything. Only then do I consider buying. Curious what everyone else's process looks like — especially around how much weight you put on niche relevance versus raw link metrics when choosing domains.

Sourcing PBN domains on your own is a full-time job if you want to do it properly. Checking Ahrefs, filtering spam, verifying history — it adds up fast. A contact in the SEO space pointed me toward https://pbn.ltd/pbn-domains-for-sale/ as a shortcut that doesn't sacrifice quality. The selection is solid and the metrics match what you actually see when you dig deeper. Saved me probably ten hours of research on my last purchase. For anyone running an active link building operation this kind of curated inventory is worth a lot more than the price difference versus doing it manually.
