Topic-icon How do NHS staff keep track of all their different pay calculations?

I've been wondering how everyone manages all the different NHS pay calculations throughout the year.
There are so many things that can affect your pay—basic salary, overtime, unsocial hours, annual leave entitlement, maternity pay, pension contributions, sickness calculations, and occasional back pay awards. While the official guidance explains how these are calculated, I often find that doing the maths manually can be confusing and time-consuming.
I recently started looking for online tools that could simplify these calculations instead of relying on spreadsheets or trying to work everything out with a calculator. I came across NHS Pay Calculators ( nhspaycalculatorss.co.uk/ ), which brings together several NHS-specific calculators in one place. I found it useful because you can quickly estimate things like overtime, pension, maternity pay, annual leave, and other common NHS calculations without jumping between different websites.
I'm curious how everyone else handles this. Do you use Excel, your own formulas, online calculators, or simply wait for your payslip? Have you found any tools or methods that make budgeting and financial planning easier throughout the year?
I'd be interested to hear what works best for other NHS staff, especially if you've found reliable resources that save time and reduce calculation errors.
