Hi, everyone!I’ve been playing Call of Duty exclusively for a few years now, but my friends are inviting me to play CS 1.6.Can you tell me how hard it is to switch over? Are the shooting mechanics and gameplay dynamics very different? Is it possible to quickly get used to it after playing modern shooters?

I’m interested in the game’s physics. In COD, I’m used to rolling constantly, running while aiming, and health regeneration, but I understand that in 1.6, there’s no health regeneration and most weapons don't have aiming. How severely are players penalized for shooting while running in CS? Where is the best place to download a clean, reliable build of the game so I can test my skills, check my timing on the default maps, and avoid getting viruses or adware on my computer?

I love modern shooters, too, but I decided to try CS 1.6. The first couple of days will feel unusual, even a little painful. In COD, you’re used to constantly moving and shooting while running and aiming through the crosshairs. In CS 1.6, firing wildly doesn't work at all. Here, you have to learn to control the recoil and pause briefly before each shot. But that’s the whole thrill of it! Every mistake and every duel you win are valued so much more. I recommend downloading the classic compilation from csget.me/ . It downloads in a minute, runs perfectly without crashing, and, most importantly, comes with the default configuration and cleanly searches for decent servers with low ping. I’ve been playing with it for a long time myself. What weapon class do you usually play in COD? Do you prefer assault rifles or sniping?
