Topic-icon What should I do with old office equipment and paper after moving in the UK?

I moved into a new space for the IT department in the Finnieston area of Glasgow (UK). After unpacking and setting up, there was a massive pile of junk left behind: stacks of boxes, broken keyboards, cable scraps, and old files. We can’t just dump all this into regular street bins—in the UK, the local council imposes a huge fine for disposing of office junk in public dumpsters. Can you advise us on how to quickly clear out this mess and get the necessary paperwork to close out the job?

Just don't dump it in regular dumpsters—inspectors and neighbors will spot that kind of mess right away, and the fines are astronomical. After our move, we solved the problem in a single day: we ordered an office waste collection —which is actually a legitimate service for this kind of task. The guys drove up in a truck, carried everything out themselves, loaded it up, and issued an official disposal certificate. Have you completely moved in yet, or are some of your things still at the old place?
